KEEPING THE CULTURE AND TRADITION OF NATIONS, IN THE SERVICE OF TOLERANCE AND PEACE

The idea of education for the culture of peace initially seems unusual, often unnecessary. Most people would immediately say that religions, our styles of living, almost all gestures..., teach us the tolerance and peace, and that the conflict situations are just excesses that happen whether accidentally or - caused by others...
However, the education for the culture of peace is very necessary.
It seems that knowing and understanding traditions, understanding mutual relationships, right and necessary hypothesis of developing the culture of peace, are contra-proportional to development of technology and informing through media...
Unfortunately, this is because of the fact that within the education for the culture of peace, there are conversations about the rights of groups and individuals, rights of the nations and minorities, women and children, about mutual relationships in new social-economic and political situations, globalization etc, while rarely about the problem of maintaining material and immaterial cultural-historical heritage and tradition, as well as alive heritage; tradition ways are being tried to understand very rarely, and these values are often being blamed, or at least suspected as causes of intolerance and conflicts, no matter what kind or how serious they are...
